Licensing & Professional Registration

Mandatory licence: Yes (for refrigerant handling) — handling fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases/refrigerants) requires a Refrigerant Handling Licence under the Ozone Layer Protection Act, administered by Ministry for the Environment.

For broader HVAC installation work, a Limited Certificate under the PGDB may be required for gas-connected HVAC equipment. Check with the PGDB for your specific scope of work.
